In winter you can have some serious action because you will find some big waves. Get prepared to live rustically because Itacare is just a small fishing village.

Santa Catalina, Panama is located on the Chiriqui Gulf in the state of Veraguas. Literally a tropical paradise, Santa Catalina offers you some of the best surf in Panama. Here you’ll find wave faces up to 20 feet with ample space for surfers of all skill levels.
Pico Loro, Colombia
The landscape around Nuqui is one of tropical rainforest descending into pristine beaches. It is one of the best places to surf in Colombia, placed on the Pacific Coast. There are five excellent surf spots near Nuqui where you can get with a boat: Pico de Loro, Juan Tornillo, El Valle, Terco and Termales.
Popoyo it’s a completely undiscovered surf spot but provides great lodging and generous waves.
