I presented you the first five places where you can go if the the “end of the world” is coming. Now I present you the last five places where you can “hide”.
On a first visit, Puncak Jaya, sometimes called Mount Carstensz or the Carstensz Pyramid, would not seem the most hospitable place in the world. This is the highest mountain in Oceania, with a height of 4,884 meters, found in the western part of Papua island, part of Indonesia since 1962.
But this mountainous region from Indonesia can save you if the world would disappear. Regardless of the constructed scenarios and the forms that the Earth heading for extinction, you must know that Puncak Jaya is the richest place in the world. The city is up on the largest gold mine, this means, guaranteed employment and trade with precious metals. The region also “hide” the third world’s largest copper mine.
If the end of the world, the third world war, the global warming or any other form of destruction of the planet catch you in Africa, Cape Town is the best place for survival.
Seaport to the ocean, the city is the second most populated area from South Africa, and even if one feels the influence of “energy” from the West, the place has maintained the stability and the peace throughout the years.
Necker Island is the island that belonging to Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin Group region. Richard Branson is, according to Forbes list, ranked in the top 236 richest people on the planet, with a fortune estimated at $ 4.4 billion.
And even if the territory has an owner, in a global disaster case, the land could be safely inhabited by foreigners.
Yukon is the westernmost federal territory in Canada. The region is less populated and its economy is currently supported by the government and by the tourism. But, if things get out of control and the war comes, the area might be able to support small communities. The region has a rich fauna and flora, so, if a global catastrophe could threaten humanity, the hunting could be a job.
The disadvantages of this region are the unfriendly weather and the large number of bears. The latter inconvenient can be easily converted into a meal.
No matter what would happen to the United States, Kansas City would probably be the safest. The city is not located on any side, you don’t have to worry about security or a foreign invasion.
Also, the city is surrounded by agricultural land suitable for animal husbandry and agriculture, so the food should be ensured, and the intersection of several railroads make the access to the transport much easier.
